Welcome to Mid River Guide Service. Southern Maryland’s Professional Guide Services for Trophy Stripers (we call them Rockfish) and Open Water Duck Hunting. Both Diver and Sea Ducks abound in the local waters of the Mid Chesapeake Bay and the Mid to Lower regions of the Potomac River.
We specialize in Striped Bass fishing by Trolling, Chumming and Light tackle. We also site cast, jig and bottom fish when appropriate. The Captain and Guide has 35 years of experience in the waters local to Southern Maryland and Ocean City, Maryland. The local waters of the Potomac River and Chesapeake Bay offer some of the east coasts best fishing opportunities. We can tailor a trip to your style of fishing or educate you on something new. All trips are personalized based on time of year, weather and the hot bite in the area. During the summer months this changes frequently. The spring and fall are our favorite times of the year because you have a chance at a fish over 35lbs and even 50lbs. The fall also gives the opportunity for a Cast and Blast trip. This trip consist of a Sea Duck or Diver Duck Hunt in the morning and some Striped Bass fishing the same day. You will be able to keep your fish until December 31st of the year. The cast and blast trips continue until the close of the waterfowl season, usually around the 3rd weekend in January. Catch and release for the fish after Dec. 31st.
